A trip to Avon in June

I'm taking a trip to Avon between June 20th and June 21st.

Visiting Mark, Lisa and kids for Mel's graduation party. We'll spend the night visiting with Dad, Mike, Barb and all the kids. Matt may visit with Nicole if they can make arrangements. We'll see.

2009 Kick Off Host2009 Kick Off HostLast night I managed to stumble through the kick off for the 2009 Troy Strawberry Festival. You know it's bad when you have numerous people tell you "it wasn't that bad. You did fine". The biggest challenge, as I saw last year as well, is getting every dignitary recognized. Even though I had every one of them listed in front of me, I still managed to miss a few.

Actually, it wasn't that bad - but I'm definitely not going to earn a living as a public speaker. The Troy Daily News has a front page story. As is my custom, I've reposted it's contents along with a link to the original story. I'll keep my copy here private so unless you have an account on this web site, you won't be seeing it. Michelle returned from her French class trip to France (and England) this past week. Her flight from France was 40 minutes ahead of schedule arriving in to Newark, NJ. Unfortunately, the plane for her flight from Newark to Dayton could not leave until 2:00 AM on Thursday morning. I picked her up shortly before 4:00 in the morning. (I wasn't much use the next day).
In any event, she appears to have had a good trip. She's posted some pictures over on her Photobucket site.
