2009 Strawberry Festival Kickoff

2009 Kick Off HostLast night I managed to stumble through the kick off for the 2009 Troy Strawberry Festival. You know it's bad when you have numerous people tell you "it wasn't that bad. You did fine". The biggest challenge, as I saw last year as well, is getting every dignitary recognized. Even though I had every one of them listed in front of me, I still managed to miss a few.

Actually, it wasn't that bad - but I'm definitely not going to earn a living as a public speaker. The Troy Daily News has a front page story. 2009 Chairwoman (Becky)I have also included my speaking notes. I stuck pretty close to them throughout but there were a few places where I went off the reservation. We changed the sequence of the program in a few places so it is not 'exactly' as presented.
